Sedona

If you're wondering where I've been for the last month & a half, I've been working on a very special project!! Her name is Sedona, and she was born on October 28th! My husband and I are having so much fun & learning a lot as we go :)

Here she is in a new design I'm working on. It's WAY too big for her!(It's the 3 mo. size) But she'll grow into it :)

Snuggling in her staggered eyelets blanket.

Mommy & daddy are so in love!

Our latest knit along

Here are some shots of our latest knit-along. The Phoenix Scarf! This one was knit with size 7 needles and a yarn called Unforgettable. The color changes kept me interested enough to work for 35 repeats of the lace pattern. This makes for a nice long infinity scarf. I even had yarn left over!

New Dress Pattern in the Works!

I've been busy at work on a new baby dress pattern! This one is a cinch to knit up & takes very little time to do. It is worked from the bottom lace edge up to the waist band in the round & then it is worked flat from back to front. The wide boat neck allows for no closures!
I'm thinking of adding a little flower to one shoulder to incorporate a little more of the red, but I haven't decided which flower pattern to use. I am open to suggestions.

I tried out a new design process that I'm pretty proud of. It allowed me to write the whole pattern at one time, so I'm ready to begin testing!

In a few months I'll have a much better model, don'tcha think? Although, she may be a bit less willing than Teddy here...

The yarn is Spud & Chloe Sweater again... What can I say? I am obsessed! It doesn't help when they have adorable color names like the two I chose "grape jelly", and "barn". How can a girl resist?!

The Olivia Ruffle Tank

I am about to begin pattern testing on my newest design called the Olivia Ruffle Tank. It is named after some little cutie I know named Olivia. Who could that be??? (*hint - it's my niece)
It has taken me over a year to write this pattern, so I am hopeful that all will go well. With my crazy year at work (33 ten-year-olds is nothing to sneeze at) and preparing for the new baby, that didn't leave much time for knitwear design. I'm on a role now, though, and I can't wait to keep it going! Here it is, the Olivia Tank:

New Pattern!

Check out the Sweet Squares Baby Blanket! Sweet Squares
It is available in the stroller or full size, and offers a photo tutorial and blank color charts so you can make the blanket design truly your own!
I will be taking some pictures of the full size blanket I just finished for our daughter's nursery, and posting them here. Stay tuned!

My husband and I are expecting a little girl in late October or early November. We are so excited we can hardly contain ourselves. I have been busily knitting for the last few months in neutral colors, and now I am excited to be able to knit up some girly designs! Expect a few new designs on this site and on my ravelry page in the next few months. I will not be wasting a moment!
