Another One Finished!

I hope my husband's cousin's wife isn't checking in... This is part of her Christmas gift. LOVE the way it turned out. I would have never chosen this color myself, and now I want one of my own. Don't you love how going outside your comfort zone opens up a whole new world? Knitting teaches me something new every day!

Blocking can make such a difference

Wow! Look at the difference blocking can make. This is a picture of the two halves of my Madeline Tosh scarf. I blocked the one on the left, and I haven't blocked the one on the right.

CO Springs Knit-A-Long

Here are some other yarn ideas for the knit-a-long!
Madeline Tosh:
OR Malabrigo:

The gauge comes out a little bit differently on these two. I'm getting about 17 sts per 4 inches (on size 10 US needles) on the Malabrigo Worsted, and 16 sts per 4 inches (on size US 10 1/2) on the Madeline Tosh hand painted. Note! These pictures are before blocking. The scarf stretches in the blocking process. It will end up much wider.
